NovAI is a French AI agency with a permanent operational base in Eastern Crete. We work with Cretan SMBs, English-speaking and German-speaking property owners, and international real estate agencies that need a reliable partner on the ground. We are a boutique studio of 1 to 3 people per project, run by Francois Kerjean from Brest with a year-round presence in Ierapetra. This dual setup lets us walk into a hotel in Heraklion or a taverna in Sitia, understand the local context, and still deliver to French-agency standards on code quality, documentation and timelines. We work in English, French and Greek, with native multilingual coverage on all platforms aimed at international clients. Our stack is Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Stripe and Vercel, with embedded Claude and GPT layers for the parts where AI actually adds value. Four platforms are running in production today, including Kairos Guest Management which powers dynamic pricing on more than 11000 Cretan Airbnb listings, and Crete Direct which publishes over 24000 SEO pages in 22 languages. We deliver a firm quote within 72 hours of the scoping call, and the source code is yours.
Why AI in Crete?
AI is not a marketing gimmick for a Cretan SMB, it is a concrete operational lever on three measurable axes. First axis, automatic multilingual coverage. A taverna in Sitia, a regional product shop in Heraklion or a villa rental manager in Elounda serves German, British, French, Greek and increasingly Scandinavian and Dutch guests. Hand-translating menus, websites and product sheets is a recurring cost with uneven quality. With a properly integrated AI layer, content is translated at creation, kept in sync when the Greek version changes, and stays consistent with the brand voice. On Kairos Guest Management we run FR, EN and EL natively. For a Cretan taverna ordering system, we design a QR menu translated into four languages with no manual intervention. Second axis, automation of administrative tasks. Since 1 December 2025, AADE myDATA fiscalisation and IRIS payments are mandatory for restaurants and retail in Greece. Many local businesses still absorb this as manual data entry. A clean integration with Epsilon Smart and Viva, the kind we design for the Cretan hospitality segment, removes double entry and makes compliance reliable. Third axis, the local competitive bar is low. Most independent hotels, real estate agencies, restaurants and shops in Eastern Crete still run websites frozen in 2018, with no direct booking, no online payment, no dynamic pricing and no serious multilingual support. For an SMB investing today in a business-first web platform, the visible gap with competitors is immediate. We translate this into the actual sectors of the Cretan field. Tourism, price simulator, booking calendar, online payment, auto-translation. Restaurants, QR menu, KDS, hybrid P3 payment, AADE compliance. Real estate, multilingual listings, lead qualification, Booking and Airbnb partner integration. Retail, e-commerce with Stripe, stock management, marketing automation. For each sector we scope precisely, price the work, set the timeline, and ship on Vercel with read access to the GitHub repo for the client.
